Manual & FAQQ. Why my PC reboots after shutdown?A1. Your PC must support APM (Advanced Power Management) or ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface). A2. Some of computers with Windows 2000 Server do not allow you to poweroff your PC after shutdown. Q. I forgot my password. A. If you forgot your password you need to contact with Perfect Shutdown technical support. Q. What if I want to abort a Shutdown or change the settings? A. When you click "OK" or “Cancel” buttons or simply press cross mark in upper right hand corner of the window or hit “Esc” key Perfect Shutdown gets minimized to the System Tray (bottom right hand corner of the start bar). If you click on the icon then the Control Panel will be displayed showing the details on the shutdown. If you want to continue with the Perfect Shutdown then you can click on the "OK" (or “Cancel”, window cross mark or “Esc” key without applying changes) button. If on the other hand you want to abort the shutdown then delete active scenario(s) or you can change the settings on Scenarios tab in Control Panel and go again. Alternatively you can right click on the icon in the System Tray. This gives you some options. You can make immediately actions ("Actions" option) for Log off, Reboot or Shutdown. Change settings ("Settings" option) this is the same as clicking and brings up the Perfect Shutdown Control Panel. Finally the last option "Exit" aborts the Shutdown procedure and exits the program. Q. What's the point in the 5 second Count Down? A. 5 seconds before the Shutdown is finalized the Count Down is started. This gives you one last chance to back out of the Shutdown. Q. How do I abort the 5 second Count Down? A. You can either click on the "Cancel" button or simply hit the Escape key on your keyboard. Q. Can I shutdown a remote computer? A. In the standard version of Perfect Shutdown you can not shutdown remote computer. This feature will be available in the Perfect Shutdown Server edition. Q. Can I use command line options? How can I edit the command line? A. Command line support not implemented yet. This feature is going to be implemented soon. Q. How do I report bugs? A.
